Learn the Montana Two Step at the Coral Sands Dance Corral

Even the Laziest Susan,
the Wall-iest Wallflower,
and the Shrinking-est Violet
will BLOOM at the Coral Sands.

Ten cents a dance?

Leave your change purse in your suite,

THE SUMMER DAY by Mary Oliver

Who made the world?
Who made the swan, and the black bear?
Who made the grasshopper?
This grasshopper, I mean-
the one who has flung herself out of the grass,
the one who is eating sugar out of my hand,
who is moving her jaws backc and forth instead of up and down-
who is gazing around with her enormous and complicated eyes.
Now she lifts her pale forearms and thoroughly washes her face.
Now she snaps her wings open, and floats away.
I don't know exactly what a prayer is.
I do know how to pay attention, how to fall down
into the grass, how to kneel down in the grass,
how to be idle and blessed, how to stroll through the fields,
which is what I have been doing all day.
Tell me, what else should I have done?
Doesn't everything die at last, and too soon?
Tell me, what is it you plan to do
with your one wild and precious life?

Happy Birthday, Lukas Levi Harding

There were three candles on the cupcake this morning as L2H, one of the very youngest Sanders, said hello to three years come and gone. He kicked off the start of year four with a big bash at Casa Lukey in San Francisco. No one over four feet tall was admitted unless accompanied by a child. A certain reporter for this blog swung a media pass, however.

Lukey may be only three, but he's been a Sander ALL HIS LIFE. And I'll bet you he has clocked more time in the pool at TCS (as a percentage of total time on the planet) than anybody. Rock on, Dude!
