Wow! Flashback. When I first admired the store upon moving to Seattle in 1989, I didn't expect to become pals with the store's namesake. Thank God we did become friends!! But I regret not buying the Space Needle floor model ash tray Ruby once had in the store. Thankfully, I've since quit smoking, but how I searched for that ash tray after seeing it at the Pinto Pony. So glad for many memories at the store and at the Coral Sands. Love you Rube!!!
Ahhh...my Seattle home away from home. The week I moved to Seattle I walked into Ruby Montana's Pinto Pony and thought I'd gone to heaven. Ruby looked up at me and immediately said, "You aren't from around here are ya?"
Now, my home in Portland is full of Ruby treasures (and great Seattle memories)

I discovered this fabulous store on R & R in 1991.
I was on my way back to Australia after performing for the Prime Minister of Greece. I met the girls and remember them commenting on the cool retro ozzy shoes I was wearing. I bought as much memorabilia as I could possibly carry. Is the shop still there ?
