After I moved from Seattle to Portland I would often NEED to make the pilgrimage to Ruby's for some unique retail therapy. Once, in that window there was a western clock - it was a cowboy standing next to his horse and the cowboy's lasso spun around. I stood salivating at the window until my partner Ed dragged me away. I so regretted not buying that clock.
A couple weeks later Metropolitan Home magazine arrived in the mail. As I threw it on my living room sofa the magazine flipped open to an article about Ruby's store. It was a sign from a higher power!!! I got on the phone and immediately bought the clock...
