Faced with limiting our travels today, we met over café and came up with un plan. We hired a horse, a thin one who could fit between the taxis. Here's a snap the concierge took of us, Ruby about to mount up and trot off for our little shopping excursion. Ruby sends the horse back for us and Rebecca, Ruth and I take turns, all of us meeting up for shopping on the haute couture hotbed rue de Foubourg.
After a little shopping, it's a quick culture stop at the le musée Jeu de Paume for the Edward Steichen exhibit. With about 400 vintage prints covering some six decades and all aspects of his work, this is arguably the most comprehensive such overview to date. I just adore his pictures!

When there's a transit strike, let them drink wine! Wish we were there walking the streets or sitting along the Seine with a bottle of wine, a baguette and some cheese.
Lucky ladies!! can't wait to hear all your tales.
Mon ami - Who needs le Metro? Le Cite et magnifique. Just hoof it girl. It is the best city on earth for walking. You eat, you drink, you walk it ALL off. Paris son le primiere regime du la monde!
